It was a very pleasant day out here on Lady Elliot, with lots of beautiful sunshine to soak up, and light winds keeping the sea surface smooth.
The glass bottom boat saw two Manta Rays out at the lighthouse bommies gliding against the mild current filtering plankton from the water. Guests were in awe of their size and grace through the water. Guests were very keen to jump in and swim with the beautiful creatures, however they sped away as soon as toes hit the water. Fish feeders delighted in the cool water around their ankles as the guide tossed in the food and the fish swam hungrily around their feet. The rabbitfish made an appearance today, looking very hungry as the smaller fish beat them to their nibbles. There’s always tomorrow Rabbitfish!!
The dining room almost had the roof removed with a very hotly contested Reef Trivia night. Team “TBA” took out the championship receiving a bottle of wine for their smarts.
