Another successful Foto Frenzy Photography Workshop has just wrapped up on Lady Elliot Island. The Foto Frenzy is a five day photography workshop open to beginner or experienced enthusiasts and is designed to take photography skills to the next level. Based on the concept ‘Capture to Print’, the five (5) days of shooting opportunities, review sessions, group presentations and break-outs that culminate in a print exhibition of participants work on the final night. Hosted by some of Australia’s leading photographers: Canon Master Darren Jew, who has photographed some of the planet’s most amazing landscapes and wildlife from Antarctica to Zambia; Sean Scott who is leading the way in coastal landscape and surf art photography; Queensland Museum Photographer Gary Cranitch and representatives from the Canon Collective team.
This year Foto Frenzy was held from the 22nd to 27th February and had 32 eager participants. The entire week was bustling with energy and excitement from sunrise to sunset. Some of the activities and workshops included an orientation walk on the first day, daily dives with Darren Jew, macro photography with Gary Cranitch, split shots with Sean Scott in the Fish Pool, star trails with Colin Baker (Canon), sunrise and sunset walks with Greg Sullavan (Canon) and an open air exhibition on the last night showcasing the amazing photographs captured during the week.
The workshop provides participants with the opportunity to try out and loan some of the top of the range Canon equipment on the market. The five days is action packed and the workshop ensures to provide participants with expertise knowledge that they can take away and use to continue their love for photography. If you would like to join the next Foto Frenzy workshop, keep an eye on our Lady Elliot Island Facebook page for dates (soon to be advised).
