This youngster was captured near Lighhouse Bommies in quite shallow water. Make sure that you keep an eye out for the whales during the scenic flight to/from Lady Elliot Island. If you’re lucky you might also see them from the glass bottom boat, kayak or while diving or snorkelling. You may even hear the beautiful whale song underwater. The Outback Adventure tour will take guests over three days to see some of the most isolated parts of the country by aircraft. Rainfall throughout south-western earlier this year has flowed down the Diamantina and into Lake Eyre, bringing life to a normally barren area. Spring is wildflower season, and this combined with the water flows can bring extensive bird-life and other animals to the region. Contact the team at Seair on 07 5599 4509 or visit http://seairpacific.com.au/touring for more information.
