I believe it’s one of the most hotly contested in the state. We are all very honoured to be recognised for our contribution to sustainable tourism, even more so that the award represents Steve Irwin and his unmatched dedication to the protection of wildlife and wild places on our planet. A big congratulations to every single nominee and winner from the evening. On Lady Elliot Island we have the courage to push ahead and find ways in which people can exist in our spectacular and fragile environment with a minimum footprint.
