Reef Rangers is a fun and educational program for children aged 5–12 years, with a focus on conservation and the incredible Great Barrier Reef.

During the two-hour session, our guide leads a range of indoor and outdoor activities designed to inspire curiosity and an appreciation for the natural environment. It’s also a great opportunity for young guests to meet other children and share their island holiday experience.

During Queensland and New South Wales public school holidays, Reef Rangers operates every second afternoon, commencing on the first Saturday of the holiday period.

Cost: $70 per hour (max 2 children) 
Ages: 2-12 years

Babysitting is available for children aged 2 to 12 years, subject to staff availability. Please see Reception to book babysitters; a minimum 24 hours’ notice is required. Reception staff will arrange babysitting details, including pick up point, date of sitting, duration etc, and will fill out a babysitting roster with appropriate details.

A shaded children’s playground with slides and climbing equipment is situated adjacent to the Reef Education Centre.
