Located approximately 10 meters from the beautiful coral cay Lagoon, the Reef Units are the closest resort rooms to the Beachfront Dining Room. Arranged in blocks of three, they are ideal for couples or families, offering either a queen bed or a combination of a queen and bunk-style beds. Each unit features polished timber floors, ensuite bathrooms and a balcony to make the most of the island surrounds. The units are fan cooled and have a mini fridge and tea and coffee making facilities.

Picture this… iridescent blues of the ocean. You’re sitting beneath our heritage listed lighthouse, sipping a cold drink and watching a fiery sun dropping below the horizon, orange and pastel skies filling with thousands of birds returning home after a day at sea. The waves are crashing on the shoreline and sea-soaked snorkellers are returning form a day exploring the reef. This is a typical afternoon at Sunset Drinks at the Lighthouse.

Each afternoon we host sunset drinks at the Lighthouse quayway. A selection of beverages and snacks are available, and no wallet is needed as you are able to charge your choices to your room account. Grab a chair or sun lounge along with a table and take in the beautiful afternoon sights while sipping on your favourite drink! If there is a snack or beverage you would like in particular, be sure to order this from the bar before 4pm and it can be brought down and reserved for you!

For an extra touch with this experience pre-purchase a ‘Sunset Platter’ from the Bar and have it delivered directly to you at the Lighthouse. Sunset platters are a mix of charcuterie. Teamed with a bottle of champagne this makes for a perfect afternoon!

Snorkelling is a must when visiting the Southern Great Barrier Reef! Pick up your complimentary mask, snorkel and fins from our dive shop and stroll to one of our snorkelling quayways or the tidal lagoon. Swim with turtles, rays and stunning coral on the western side of the island or get up close and personal in our lagoon. An added bonus when snorkelling is watching your significant other decide on the most graceful way to enter and exit the water which often leads to some funny memories!
